Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

316 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a farm installation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24037/00]

An application received under the national scheme of installation aid cannot be processed further until essential documentation requested from the person named has been submitted to my Department.

Following receipt of this documentation and on the basis that the documentation will enable determination of eligibility, the application can be processed for payment.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

317 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when payment will be made under the 2000 cattle headage scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [24038/00]

The person named has arrears of land purchase annuities amounting to £4,666.67 in respect of land allotted to her by the Land Commission. My Department wrote to the person named on 19 October 2000 stating the position and advising her that if payment of at least £2,000 was not made to the Land Commission by 16 November 2000 it was proposed to offset any headage and premium grants due against these arrears. To date no reply to this letter has been received by my Department nor has any payment been received. A decision on whether to offset any grants due to her under the 2000 cattle headage scheme and the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme will not be taken until after 16 November 2000 at which stage it will be possible to determine whether payment has been received from the person named.
