Written Answers. - HIV Infection.
The director of Cáirde is a member of the national AIDS strategy committee, which is chaired by my colleague, the Minister of State, Deputy Moffatt. The committee's last meeting took place on 3 October, but Cáirde, who were represented at the meeting, made no mention of this report. However, the proposals in the report will be pursued by the national AIDS strategy committee and its sub-committees in the context of the implementation of the committee's report, AIDS Policy 2000, which was published in June this year and which sets the framework for addressing HIV-AIDS issues on a multi-sectoral basis.
