Vol. 525 No. 3

Written Answers. - Residency Applications.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

394 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will respond to correspondence form a person (details supplied) in relation to the results of a DNA test; if he will now ensure that the three points raised are responded to; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25157/00]

The correspondence in question was received in my Department on 2 November. The person concerned will be contacted regarding his residency application in the very near future. Entitlement to social welfare benefits and the registration of births are matters for the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs and the Department of Health and Children respectively.
