Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gregory – the need to bring forward proposals arising from the report of the commission on the residential/private rental sector; (2) Deputy Browne (Wexford)– the severe flooding in Enniscorthy; (3) Deputy Sargent – the measures which need to be taken in order to avoid EU fines because of the failure to tackle the waste issue; (4) Deputy Shatter – the need to construct additional permanent classrooms for the pupils of St. Colmcille's primary school Knocklyon, Dublin 16, to provide a library in the school and other essential facilities; (5) Deputy Fitzgerald – the urgent need for the Government to take action in relation to the crisis in planning affecting child care providers; (6) Deputy Olivia Mitchell – the urgent situation that has arisen in relation to the provision of an adequate taxi service; (7) Deputy Keaveney – the need to take action to tackle the unemployment problem in the north-west region; (8) Deputy Deasy – the need for the Minister for Defence to take immediate steps to provide a 24 hour sea rescue helicopter service at Waterford airport; (9) Deputy Neville – the need to address the issue of child poverty.

The matters raised by Deputies Gregory, Sargent, Fitzgerald, and Olivia Mitchell have been selected for discussion.
