Vol. 525 No. 4

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Appeals.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

122 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the correct amount of one-parent family allowance payable in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who receives £60 per week maintenance as determined by the courts and who lives in Eastern Health Board rent assisted accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25360/00]

The person concerned is currently in receipt of a one-parent family payment of £58.70 in respect of herself and one child. The case of the person concerned was examined recently by a local officer of my Department and it is being referred to a deciding local officer in the light of the outcome of that examination the person concerned will be notified of the outcome shortly.
