Vol. 525 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

237 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance when a refund of income tax will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25652/00]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has reviewed the taxpayer's income tax liability for the period from 6 April, 2000 to 8 November, 2000 and has established that the taxpayer overpaid £194.71. A notification of the overpayment was sent to the taxpayer on 9 November, 2000 and a cheque for £194.71 issued on 11 November 2000.
