Vol. 525 No. 5

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

270 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when orthodontic treatment will be offered to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare in view of the fact he was informed that his case would be given priority and treatment would start in September 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25651/00]

As the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Kildare is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as soon as a matter of urgency.
