336 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford was granted only eight months incremental credit in view of all necessary conditions being satisfied for a twelve month period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department awards incremental credit, subject to certain limits, to whole-time teachers for previous full-time remunerated teaching service, given in a fully qualified capacity, in State inspected schools outside Ireland. The application submitted by the teacher in question indicated that full-time remunerated service was given from 1 October 1984 to 1 June 1985 and incremental credit was granted in respect of that service. The teacher in question is not eligible for additional credit in respect of that service.
