Question:

104 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the minimum height of an applicant for membership of An Garda Síochána where the applicant is a man; and the minimum height where the applicant is a woman. [27110/00]

The height requirements for applicants for the Garda Síochána are prescribed in the Garda Síochána (Admissions and Appointments) Regulations, 1988, as amended. The minimum height requirements for male and female applicants are 5'9" and 5'5" respectively.
