Question:

275 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who had a leg amputated in April 2000 is still awaiting training in the use of the prosthesis supplied; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27440/00]

The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the hospital concerned. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this matter and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
