Vol. 526 No. 6

Written Answers. - Hospital Admission.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

293 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if, in view of the seriousness of a case, he will arrange to have a person (details supplied) from County Waterford admitted immediately to the epilepsy monitoring unit, St. Brigid's ward, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27714/00]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in Beaumont Hospital is, in this instance, the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and respond to the Deputy directly.
