Question:

395 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason an allowance in respect of an MA in Education has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27413/00]

My Department recently approved the payment of an honours masters degree allowance in respect of the qualification in question and this will be reflected in the salary payment due to the person concerned on 14 December 2000.
