Vol. 527 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Airport.

Paul McGrath

Question:

31 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if a consultancy report has been prepared on the proposal to make Dublin Airport fully co-ordinated; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [27796/00]

I can confirm that my Department appointed SH&E, an international aviation consulting firm, to carry out a capacity analysis at Dublin Airport. The report being prepared by SH&E is in its final stages of preparation and should be available to me very shortly.

The purpose of this report is to assess whether Dublin Airport needs to be fully co-ordinated and the consultants have interacted with Aer Rianta and airport users during the course of their work. This report is required to be carried out under Council Regulation 95/93 and will assist me in my consideration of whether Dublin Airport should be fully co-ordinated.
