Vol. 527 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hearing Impairment Claims.

Dick Spring

Question:

78 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Defence the reason an award made on 27 October 1999 to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in an Army deafness case has not been paid to date; and if he will indicate when this payment will be made. [27876/00]

The delay arose out of the necessity to give full consideration to the transcript of evidence and to obtain appropriate legal advice from the Chief State Solicitor's office. Such advice has been received and payment will now issue.
