222 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a cataract operation in the Regional Hospital, Galway. [28213/00]

The provision of medical treatment for eligible persons in County Mayo is, in this instance, the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and reply to the Deputy directly.

223 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for orthodontic treatment. [28214/00]

As the provision of orthodontic services for eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
