279 Ms Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of applicants awaiting funding in each health board area under the housing aid for the elderly programme; and the total cost of these applications. [28319/00]

On the basis of the most recent returns furnished by the health boards, the number of applications in hand at 30 June 2000 is as follows:
