Vol. 527 No. 5

Written Answers. - Community Games.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

200 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the arrangements he has made to ensure that the national finals of the Community Games can take place in Mosney Camp, County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29028/00]

The directorate for asylum support services which is responsible, inter alia, for meeting the accommodation needs of asylum seekers has entered into an agreement with the proprietor of Mosney holiday centre for the provision of accommodation and ancillary services for asylum seekers on part of the holiday centre.

The making available of any of the balance of the facilities on the site at Mosney to ESB Community Games is a matter, in the first instance, for the proprietor. At their request, I am meeting representatives of ESB Community Games today to explore with them what support I can give to facilitating the continuation of the games at Mosney.
