226 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have arrangements made to provide further funding to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for the purchase of an extended playing area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29023/00]
In 1998 my Department funded the purchase of a site for playing facilities at the school to which the Deputy refers.
The management authority of the school in question has requested funding to purchase additional land for this school. The management authority has been asked to provide additional information in this matter.
When this information is received, this matter will be considered further.
