Vol. 528 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

218 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that a secure place is found for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 immediately and that he is provided with all necessary and appropriate support services of his Department; if he will further ensure that the foster parents are kept fully informed of all developments in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29399/00]

The provision of services for at risk children under the Child Care Act 1991 in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. I have forwarded the matter raised by the Deputy to the chief executive officer of the authority who has been asked to have the matter investigated and a reply issued directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
