24 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Comhaltas Ceolteóirí Éireann which will be funded from the £0.15 million allocated in the budget; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30002/00]
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its foundation in 2001 and has submitted a programme of events, including concerts, conferences and publications, to mark the occasion to my Department. This programme is being examined at present. At this stage I cannot say for which exact events the funding of £150,000 provided in the budget will be allocated.
