Question:362 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if it is possible for a herd number to be transferred from a sole name to joint names; and the procedures to be followed in this regard. [1002/01]

My Department, as a matter of policy, seeks to issue a herd number in the name of one person. If there are two or more persons with an interest in the herd number this should be notified to the local district veterinary office where their interest will be noted and recorded.
