Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

522 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not been called to the orthopaedic clinic in Cork University Hospital, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1022/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of admissions to hospitals is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based upon clinical priority. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer at the Southern Health Board, who has responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
