536 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 264 of 28 November 2000, he will state the progress that has been made on a MRI/brain scan appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo for January 2001; if a decision was made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The responsibility for the provision of MRI services at Beaumont Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. I have, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
