107 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the total number of work permits issued by her Department in respect of workers from overseas in each of the past 12 months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3210/01]
The total number of work permits issued to employers to allow them to employ non-European economic area nationals in the State in the year 2000 was 18,006. The number issued in each of the past 12 months is set out in tabular format for inclusion in the official report.
