Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Stanton – the need to provide funding for the Christian Brothers' secondary school, Midleton, County Cork, for urgent refurbishment and further development works; (2) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to implement a strategic housing plan for Dublin given the latest figures for homelessness in the city; (3) Deputy Sargent – the need for a statement from the Minister for Environment and Local Government on the way he intends to deal with the waste crisis; (4) Deputy McGinley – breast cancer services at Letterkenny Hospital; (5) Deputy Upton – the need for a substantial increase in funding for the vocational training opportunities scheme; (6) Deputy Enright – the need to establish a special Garda response unit to investigate all persons reported missing; and (7) Deputy Allen – the situation whereby 10,000 children are awaiting orthodontic treatment in the Southern Health Board area.

The matters raised by Deputies Stanton, Upton, McGinley and Allen have been selected for discussion.
