Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

260 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the unsatisfactory situation at Pullough National School, Pullough, County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3522/01]

My Department has received an application for refurbishment works from the management authorities of Pullough National School.

Because of the large number of applications to my Department for grant-aid in respect of capital works, delays in the processing of individual projects are inevitable. However, each application is dealt with as quickly as possible having regard to the priority of the project and the level of the annual allocation of funding for school buildings.

My Department's building unit will contact the management authorities of Pullough National School as soon as it is in a position to progress the matter further.
