Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Paul McGrath

Question:

304 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to serious overcrowding at Gainstown National School, Mullingar, County Westmeath; if an application has been received for an extension to this school and the provision of additional facilities; and the time frame for the provision of such facilities. [4049/01]

An application for additional accommodation at Gainstown National School, Mullingar, is being examined by the planning and building unit of my Department at present and a response will issue to the board of management as soon as possible. It would not be possible at this point to give a timeframe for the delivery of any additional facilities required at the school.
