81 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the studies which have been carried out and the ones in progress in relation to bringing a natural gas supply to County Sligo; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3946/01]
Bord Gáis Éireann, BGE, is examining options for extending the gas network throughout the country. It has engaged DKM Economic Consultants to assist it in assessing the feasibility of such extensions. A number of options are possible for extending the network to the north west. I have asked BGE to let me have a detailed analysis of these options as soon as it is available.
