292 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the provision of finance to enable Stage 4 of the north east Kerry regional water scheme to go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4549/01]

This scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme, 2000-2002, to advance through planning. Revised contract documents have recently been received from the council and are under consideration in the Department. A decision will be made as soon as possible.
