306 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if documents from Kilkenny Corporation have been submitted to his Department regarding a request to sanction funding in the amount of £30,000 for the Fr. McGrath Centre, Kilkenny; if so, if his Department will fast track the approval in view of the valuable work being undertaken in the centre by the local community. [4748/01]

A request for sanction to the use of internal housing capital receipts for the centre in question, which was received on 5 February 2001, is the subject of ongoing discussions with the corporation. A decision in the matter will issue as soon as possible.
