356 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Land Registry Office or any of his predecessors received complaints that a transfer deed dated 29 November 1984 bore a forged signature; the name of the complainant; the names of the solicitors involved; and the steps which were taken to establish the authenticity of the allegation (details supplied). My predecessor received correspondence in relation to this matter. The dealing involved the transfer of property to the pur chaser mentioned by the Deputy and the release of a charge on that property. In the time available for the answer of parliamentary questions it has not been possible to obtain the complete file on this matter. Accordingly, I will correspond further with the Deputy with full details on this matter in the near future.
