85 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance when he expects to appoint the commissioners for the new State pension fund, as required under the National Pensions Reserve Fund Act, 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4660/01]

Final preparations for the establishment of the National Pensions Reserve Fund are in train at the moment. I will shortly be in a position to announce the appointments of the fund commissioners.
