Vol. 531 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Willie Penrose

Question:

108 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will take steps to have the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath immediately examined with a view to having this person admitted to Tullamore General Hospital for a hip replacement operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5367/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services for persons living in County Westmeath rests, in the first instance, with the Midland Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
