Vol. 531 No. 3

Written Answers. - Property Transfer.

Dan Neville

Question:

185 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance if the Revenue Commissioners will issue a certified copy of stamped deeds of transfer or assent in relation to the transfer of estate in the case of persons (details supplied) in County Kerry. [5458/01]

An application for young trained farmers' relief on stamp duty due on the transfer of a property was received by the Revenue Commissioners. On 24 January 2001, the deed of transfer was returned to the solicitor dealing with the transfer as it did not contain the endorsement that Section 93 of the Finance Act, 1982 – exemption of certain instruments from stamp duty – applied. The Revenue Commissioners await the return of the deed, duly endorsed, before they can proceed further.
