John Perry

Question:

437 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science the progress being made on the location of the site for Collooney national school, County Sligo; the discussions that have taken place; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5582/01]

An application for additional accommodation, to facilitate the amalgamation of the boys' and girls' national schools in Collooney, County Sligo, is currently being processed in my Department.

The boys' school has been earmarked as the host school for amalgamation and the school authorities are examining the possibility of acquiring a 0.5 acre extension to the site.
