Vol. 531 No. 5

Written Answers. - Housing Grants.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

91 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo who availed of the new house special grant in autumn 2000 could re-apply for the increased grant of £10,000 as per budget 2001. [6326/01]

A new house grant of £3,000 was paid to this applicant on 19 October 2000. The new house disabled persons adaptation grant scheme of £10,000 was introduced in budget 2001 and applies where adaptation works commenced on or after 6 December 2000. Accordingly, this grant scheme would not apply in this case.
