Vol. 531 No. 5

Business of Dáil: Motion.

I move:

Following discussions with the Whips, I wish to propose that, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, the Dáil shall sit tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. and shall adjourn not later than 1.30 p.m. There shall be no Order of Business, that is, within the meaning of Standing Order 26(2) and (3) and, accordingly, the business to be transacted tomorrow shall be statements on foot and mouth disease. The following arrangements shall apply: the opening statement of a Minister or Minister of State and the main spokespersons from the Fine Gael Party and the Labour Party shall not exceed 15 minutes in each case; the statements of each other Member called upon shall not exceed ten minutes and Members may share time and following the statements, the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development shall take questions for not more than 60 minutes. The proceedings thereon, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 1.30 p.m.

Question put and agreed to.
