Question:196 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has given any further consideration to the issue of reimbursement of non-prescription nicotine replacement therapies, including patches, gums, inhalers and microtabs, under the GMS or other refund schemes, including the DPS; the date on which he proposes to introduce such reimbursement; the number of companies and products involved; the proposed or likely impact on consumer advertising for the products involved; the steps which will be necessary to ensure that smokers, pharmacists and the medical profession are aware of the change; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
