Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Land Commission.

Michael Ring

Question:

285 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a Land Commission schedule for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be completed. [6582/01]

The Registrar of Titles states that this refers to an application under a Land Commission Schedule which was lodged on 3 November 1987. Land Commission Schedules are deemed to be registered as of the date of vesting which is prior to the date of lodgment of the documents in the Land Registry. Accordingly, registration in the Land Registry of Land Commission cases is afforded a lower priority than the registration of other dealings. Due to the complicated nature of the application, it is not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage. However, I can assure the Deputy that the application is receiving attention.
