Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Operations.

John McGuinness

Question:

292 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current status of a murder investigation (details supplied); and when it is likely to be concluded. [6405/01]

I am informed by the Garda that the investigation into this case is complete and that on receipt of the post-mortem report from the state pathologist, the completed file will be submitted for directions to the Director of Public Prosecutions. The Director of Public Prosecutions is independent in the discharge of his statutory functions, and, therefore, it would not be appropriate for me to make any further comment on this case.
