Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Correspondence.

Dan Neville

Question:

142 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 185 of 27 February 2001, he will correct the information outlined in the reply as the solicitor (details supplied) returned the endorsed certificate in the deed pursuant to the provisions of section 93 of the Finance Act, 1982, on 24 January 2001; and if he will ensure that the Revenue Commissioners will issue a certified copy of the stamped deeds of transfer or assent in relation to the transfer of the estate without further delay. [6702/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that in line with the reply of 27 February 2001, the Revenue Commissioners returned the deed of trans fer on 24 January 2001 to the solicitor dealing with this matter as it did not contain the endorsement that section 93 of the Finance Act, 1982, exemption of certain instruments from stamp duty, applied. The Revenue Commissioners subsequently received the deed of transfer with the relevant endorsement and have duly stamped the document. The stamped document was forwarded to the solicitor on Friday, 2 March 2001.
