Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Child Care Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

150 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is anxious to establish proper visiting arrangements to see her children who are in the care of the South Eastern Health Board and a home in Omagh, County Tyrone; and if the officials of the South Eastern Health Board can determine the requirements of the person. [6407/01]

Given the total set of circumstances currently faced by the family referred to by the Deputy, I do not consider it appropriate to give detailed information about the family in the context of a parliamentary question. However, the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board has initiated a review of the board's management of the case and will communicate with the Deputy on the findings of this review in due course.
