Vol. 533 No. 2

Written Answers. - Third Level Education.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

145 An Leas-Cheann Comhairle asked the Minister for Education and Science when he expects to receive the report of the action group on access to third level education; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8497/01]

I appointed the action group on access to third level education last September to advise me on the development of a co-ordinated framework to promote access by students from the three target groups. The group was asked to advise on the specific interventions which would be most effective in making further progress in this area. I have now received the report of the action group. I am considering the recommendations and hope to be in a position to make an initial response in the near future.
