Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will report on the delay in the starting date for the construction of the permanent building for Coláiste Cois Life, Lucan, County Dublin, to replace existing prefabricated buildings, which has been put back from its original starting date of 2000 to 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A revised stage 2 submission has recently been submitted for the proposed new school project at Coláiste Cois Life, Lucan, County Dublin. This is the second revision submitted for this project and it is currently being examined by the technical staff in the building unit of my Department. If this revision is found to be satisfactory, approval will be issued to County Dublin VEC to proceed to stage 3 of the design team procedures – the developed sketch scheme.
