Question:156 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give details of his proposal to introduce a men's health programme in conjunction with the Irish College of General Practitioners. [10392/01]
Written Answers. - Men's Health Programme.
The National Health Promotion Strategy 2000-2005 published last year sets out a broad policy framework for the development of health promotion. This contains a number of strategic aims and objectives and calls for the development of a national plan for men's health. While it is hoped to commence work on this plan in association with the relevant stake holders in the near future, there are no plans at present to introduce a men's health programme in conjunction with the Irish College of General Practitioners.
