Vol. 534 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

188 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be called to Cork University Hospital, for an operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10724/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of admissions to hospitals is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based upon clinical priority. I have asked the chief executive officer at the Southern Health Board, which has responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
