256 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her Department has received correspondence from a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim regarding the purchase of a property by her Department. [10508/01]
On 8 February 2001 my Department received correspondence from the person referred to by the Deputy regarding the possible purchase of a property. Having given the matter detailed consideration, the family of the person referred to by the Deputy was informed by telephone on 13 March that my Department had decided not to purchase the property. Written confirmation of this decision issued on 2 April.
