214 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the purchase price of the fixed wing aircraft purchased by the Garda Síochána; the number of hours that it has flown on Garda Síochána operations; the arrangements which exist with the Air Corps for its flying and maintenance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11075/01]

The purchase price of the fixed wing aircraft for use by the Garda Síochána was £2.4 million, excluding VAT. To date it has flown 2,550 hours on Garda Síochána operations. The Air Corps is tasked with the pilotage, maintenance and hangarage elements of the fixed wing aircraft.
