Pat Rabbitte

Question:

55 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will consider bringing to Government a proposal that the Comptroller and Auditor General should carry out a cost benefit analysis of all moneys used by Government Departments in relation to the Irish language; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I refer the Deputy to my reply to Priority Question No. 29. As regards the question of such a cost benefit analysis being carried out by the Comptroller and Auditor General, that is a matter for consideration by him.
