215 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to building works which need to be carried out at a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11138/01]
My Department has requested the property management section of the Office of Public Works, which acts on behalf of my Department in relation to the site acquisition generally, to explore the possibility of acquiring a site for the proposed new school at the location referred to by the Deputy. As soon as a site has been acquired the matter will be progressed further.

Architectural planning for a building project at the school referred to by the Deputy is under way. My Department is awaiting confirmation from the school authorities that planning approval has been received.
The matter will be progressed further on receipt of this information.
